Money, I'm out here to make money. I get paid to tarp, get nothing to open and close the trailer. I get paid extra if the load is 102.1" or more. If it's 105 and they hide it on a connie I get nothing extra and if it's wider than that, tall or long I get nothing because I can't haul it. Load checks are a pita especially when I have something on like my current load where the walk through door at the front is blocked, have to open the back and climb through the trailer.

However like the load I have on, it has to go in a 53' connie, would be next to impossible to tarp without damaging it and destroying tarps plus it positions me for the next load.

Proof that the equipment we use in trucking is not always one size fits all.

@SAR , got a farming question for you. I'm in farming country here in Ohio and they are harvesting corn and soybeans right now and some of the farmers were filling their storage bins behind their barns and it got me to thinkin.

When you decide to have a grain silo or storage bin built, what is the size measurements you use when planning for it? Is it bushels? Would you ask for a 10,000 or 20,000 bushel silo or bin?

Got all packed today. Lots of tears and goodbyes. Makes a guy wonder if maybe what he had going already wasn’t so bad?

Yeah safety first!! When we were decking out our big cranes we had to have fall protection on...told the safety guy "there is no place to tie off when you're decking counter weights!"
Doesn't matter you still have to wear your harness! o_O
