Truck was in the shop for about 4 hrs this morning. Only fixed 3 of the 5 problems. So they ended up getting me into another truck. A '19 international with 26136 miles on it.
Took me about 3 hrs to get everything into truck. Got a load that picked up in perris ca going to Louisville ky on the 16th.
So I just threw everything into the truck and grabbed the load. Drove to the loves here off i40 ex 9. Got here about 10pm. So I just put some stuff away so I can sleep on the bed. Went in and got a shower and dinner.
Will put stuff where it belongs on my next 10 hr stop.

Monticello, Iowa delivering to John Deere in Dubuque tomorrow. It's flagged for a live unload, but me thinks otherwise. Then have a live load on the opposite side of town going back to Laredo.

Made it to the t/A in santa rosa nm last nite for my 10. Started with pouring rain and ended up a nice trip after it stopped.
Almost got stuck in the dirt this morning when I left. It was packed last nite and I parked in the dirt lot. Thought I be able to back up when I left but some bonehead parked being me
So I had to driver thru it. Hit the off-road button and was able to get out..
Doing my 30 minute break at a cenes in some small town of hwy 54. Winds been howling since I got on the 54 from i40. Some rain and not fun lol.
Some bone head swift driver passed me in a town and o my was doing 62 when we got into the 70 mph zone. I been doing 65 with cruise and started to pass him on passing zone and he cut me off. I didn't see the Wal-Mart coming back on the road but swift driver should have waited till I passed.
Thought I make it to.my fuel stop b4 doing 30 but showing I will have about 5 minutes to work with so I stopped here.
94 miles from fuel stop. Not sure where I will do my 10 yet. Gonna wing it lol ( way it's been going.. I am sure I will pay for it somehow lol) -
You should have the Trucker Path app on your phone and if you don't, download it yesterday. You might also want to download Fuelbook which is irrelevant as far as fuel price but often shows fuel stops that have a handful of parking and aren't listed on Trucker Path.
Sooner or later with the way you trip "plan" you will definitely get bit on the ###. When it happens, before you switch off the drive line, write in the remarks, "safe haven". If you get a Swift log audit say that the three truck stops you had lined up were unusually full. If DOT checks your logs in a coop inspection (unlikely) just hand the officer the KY and grab your ankles.
FrankOldironfan, dwells40 and dptrucker Thank this. -
Or, if you are going to stop at a TA, reserve a spot.
It is close and it is not in the dirt. Always sure to have a space waiting for you. Prime parking with no trouble getting out.dptrucker Thanks this. -
I don't like truckers path. Used it for awhile and took it off.

Made it to the t/A off i35 ex 155 . Figured out where I was going when I fueled. Have about 595 to final. See how close I can get When I get back to truck

Personally, I love reserved parking.
No one really wants to, but it is a very good option if you are planning your trip correctly and you will be getting somewhere a bit late.
I nearly almost always know where I will stop for the night. If it is someplace I think might be tight on space I reserve a spot. -
