Heh ok I guess I can see how my message came across as a "neener neener" post. Sorry if I made you feel like that.

I guess I'm just excited about this career and I was a little over zealous about trying to show that you don't have to hand over your eye teeth to start in the business

Keep the rubber side down. :biggrin_25525:

My Cdl's cost me $500 dollars out of my pocket. I owe noone for any of my training and I had it paid off in the first 3 months of having my license 2 years ago. I went to school that was gouging $5000 to get them.

I'M GOING TO DO THIS PART IN BIG LETTERS SO PEOPLE WILL SEE IT. IF YOU ARE UNEMPLOYED OR AT A JOB THAT PAYS LESS THAN TEN PER HOUR YOU MAY BE ELIDGABLE FOR THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT.(WIA)

It may not be avalable since so many are unemployed but it is worth a try. You have to jump through some hoops but if it pays for your training then it will be worth it. Don't go in debt to get a license. Nothing is free even with Pam or Usa they deduct it from your check if I'm reading things correctly you pay some maybe not the full amount but your going to pay one way or the other.

There are ways to do it you just have to really look hard. Find a guy with a truck local that may not be working much offer them a $1000 if they will help you get them. Anything but don't give an arm and a leg to get a license.
