Check this out, a reply with no egg joke. However, I must admit, some were good.

For these rigid rule follower types, I can't believe you can make a living. You act as if shippers and receivers, you know, the people who have the freight that we make money moving? You act as if they know OR care about DOT regulations. They do not! They don't know, don't care and aren't getting any better. Any place I show up and mention anything about my hours is always treated as a personal problem. They're trying to run a dock. I'm trying to make a living from the freight on that dock. Dealing with the DOT is just a dance I have to do to bring home the bacon. I don't think too hard about it. I work towards benefiting ME not the government. If they want to get us they'll get us no matter how hard we try to stay compliant.....or not.

And the reason is because they know drivers like you will willingly break the law to move their freight. If more drivers would simply say "no" the problem would eventually die out as the shipper/receiver will have to learn.

Im not. I walk just as heavy on my boots crashing through the floor as they always have. I live on a cement slab with carpet etc. Strong enough to deal with me when I walk around.

There might be a little bit of blood in the water waiting for the sharks to show up and start feasting. I for one know our Esteemed Moderators well enough to know when to leave something the well enough alone. And sometimes when not to stay quiet if someone is truly stupid and outrageous. *(Sometimes that would be me.)

When you have been bit by Admin Dog a time or two and he knows where to bite as well with words just so. You can consider yourself a valued member here. If this was not so, they would just shoot you and move on with more pressing matters today.

You are in a dilemma that many drivers encounter each day. The rules and regulations are very rigid for a very fluid and constantly changing job. It's like trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole. It just doesn't work and something is going to break. Do your best to work within the rules.

    x1Heavy Thanks this.

Steak Fries Chopped, a pile of dill pickels and gravy to the max to go with the sammich that hardly has nothing on it. I'll fix that problem on the stove in a few minutes with a few pounds of meats. What I require more than anything is a cook who has a temper and enjoys the work.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
