little cat 500, I don't totally know how it works either but I do know it helped my NXS also. I was having trouble with mine running ruff also and tried all the fuel treatments I could find with no help. I read about it in overdrive mag and looked at the web sight and called them . Tried 2 bottles the first time to give what they called a shock treatment and noticed it smoothing out in about an hour of idling. Have since used 1 more bottle for a maintence about 30,000 miles later. Very happy with it, good luck to ya.

Man I'd trade you a really nice 3406B that's been completely rebuilt and has chrome valve overs rocker boxes, intake, etc. I'd like to put a C15 in my old 1990 Pete.

I'm wanting to switch my 2005 twin cat out for a 3406e. I checked with a local shop and they quoted me about 50 thousand to rebuild and swap. Does anyone know if it can be done cheaper than that. They claimed it takes a lot of work to make it happen.

no need to swap engines, your truck should be a bxs with 70 pin ecm harness, "same as 6nz and 2ws". If you need a rebuild and want to spend money you can put a 6nz cam, injectors, and ecm in yours with 16.1 compression pistons and have a 6nz stroker motor.

or if you are swapping for eld reasons a 2ws would bolt in, plug in place with some air pipe modifications, so would just be finding one to buy reasonably.

So id figure @ $2500 labor to swap them plus purchase of new engine and what it needs before installation "rebuild"
