I’m sure at least a couple of you have worked or currently work for Halliburton in Tx.. I’m looking to see if their are any tips and tricks when applying that can get me noticed quicker. I’m told just to check my email but come on.. I’d be entry level. Elmendorf

A healthy CDL should be a guaranteed call back. I'm fresh out of trucking school and Halliburton was the first place I applied and got called the next day. Interviewed in person the following day and got a job offer on the spot. I also have no oilfield experience.

The recruiter I spoke with said they really need wireline trainees in Odessa which was my first choice. I'm going to Artesia for cement since its much closer to home and I "heard" I would probably get my own room in Carlsbad. The man camps in TX are sardine cans

Hector is Correct! I did the same thing in 2011! They hired me while in School while in Seattle! Everything was done over the phone and via email! It was show up and be taken care of from day one! They paid a hotel for me for 4 months!

I just finished trucking school through Halliburton not long ago. When I applied back in July I had no oilfield experience or CDL. They called me 3 days after I spilled. Came out for an interview and it took 4 weeks until orientation. During that time you have to go take a drug test and medical exam for the med card. Showed up to the orientation, which last a week and a day. They set us up with a room in a mancamp with a roommate. You get paid hourly for orientation and the mancamp has free food for you 3 times a day. 2 days after orientation was over they sent us to truck Driving school for 3 1/2 weeks (company paid hotel). I just got my CDL 2 days ago and go for my Halliburton Evaluation tomorrow. It’s smooth sailing. I applied for Cement, which I was told has crazy hours for overtime. They hired a very diverse crowd. Solid work history and all different backgrounds. I would probably say most of them had a #### near perfect Driving record the last 3 years. Just apply to all of the assistant trainee position. You should be fine.

No prob. The food was actually quite good. I was surprised. The dinner is usually a huge salad bar, everything fresh. Then there’s two or three main entrees you can choose. Then they have cooked to order burgers, philly cheese steaks and chicken fingers. If you’re vegan or non-meat based there’s always the salad bar.

Sorry to interrupt guys but since y’all have current experience w Halliburton, are the chances of getting a call back pretty good if I only have my cdl permit?

Probably like he said if you try and go in emtrt level doing cement or wire line then you’ll have a good shot. Then they’ll put you through school to get your class A or B which ever is demand for that job

What are you doing for housing now? Do they have a man camp or do they only pay housing per diem? I already have my class A tanker. I'm looking at applying in Midland /Odessa thanks!
