No I wasn't in a hurry... lol. I was worried about losing the machine though.

I was coming around the headwall of the railroad bridge, got on some buried railroad ties and it was Katy barred the door!! This is where I was when the I got the call to lock it all down and get out of there.... Hurricane Katrina was just a couple days from land.

The big river "Tensaw" is where the military ships were parked after WW2. Early 80's I believe it was, they offered one to each state before scrapping them out. The ships were on the south side of the RR bridge. I remember my track protection Mr. Owens speaking of how eerie it was at times being on the bridge during a fog.

The top picture with the yellow truck is south of Slidell, Louisiana. That is the Rigolet bridge, largest bridge owned by csx. The section that turns to allow marine traffic to pass is 427 or 432 feet long and weighs 1.7 million pounds. Rough waters at times too!!
