So I said earlier I'm having a hot meal. tonight. Well its easy and not hard. Pan sired thick bonless chops on black iron, then finished in oven, then rest them and then a red wine deglaze, then fry some red apples in the glaze with some brown sugar. Plate the apples and pour the glaze over the chops and apples. With mashed taters. But sadly they are not home made tonight.

I think you are right about it gettin worse. I never seen so many trucks turn or switch lanes without a signal as I have the past couple weeks. Just jerk the wheel at the last second before they rear end the car they’ve been creeping up on for the past ten minutes.

Sad thing is even if they figure out away to change this, Non of us will ever see things come back around. I takes so many year for it to change. This is why self driving car and trucks could take over. We cant fix stupid that fast! I will never own one, but people will.

So Im not that old. 37 gonna be 38. But I grew up with my family of truckers, all the old guys, feel much older. So I live in town, first time in life, wife liked the house. Im working on that anyhow buddy across the street younger starts hanging around when Im bbq. I use wood and lump charcoal. He gets the bug. Next thing he has a electric smoker with blu tooth temp to his phone. He says " so i can do other thing." I explain where he is messing up. See my wife know when the bbq comes out my butt is parked infront of it and Im busy. Tech is not always are friend. Lawn chair and a cold one with a buddy is.

I was just about to start a rant. My truck is governed at 65 because we got in trouble in Canada and I run Canada. With what I do I do not need to go fast to make miles to make a paycheck. With that being said I usually set my cruise around 62 that way most people go around me including the 65 mph trucks. Then if I do creep up on someone I have a little extra to get by without clogging up the lane. Conversely if I have someone creeping up on me and they go left I kick the cruise off till they get past then hit resume.

Now my rant. why the %%%% do these Billy Big Riggers feel it's necessary to run right up my @## then jerk the wheel into the left lane followed by driving right of the line as they go by then cutting back over so quick I loose sight of their taillights (and I don't even have a &^%$#@%^ hood!!) Where the %#$@ did these people learn to drive, how is it they have no clue where the right side of their truck/trailer are at and how is it they think all that wheel jerking and cutting it close gets them further down the road faster??

And one more since I'm in that kind of mood tonight, what is it with the new trend of 4-wheeler's running down the road like complete morons with their 4-way flashers going. I've been driving off and on for just over 30 years and I have seen this before but in the past 2 weeks I've seen more than my entire driving career combined up to this point. Is this some new law that allows them to completely disregard all traffic laws because they have figured out how to use both turn signals at the same time???

By today standards we are all outlaws. Hard for me. I can't put 140 grand on the deck and stroll into Detroit like my father did day after day year after year. Times have changed. I do what I do but most likely will never be that ######. I wish I was born 150 years ago. Mans job included Food, and heat. In anyway you got that. Old time told me as a kid " You know where this world went to S!h@, When wr started S!h@@ing in the house and cooking in the backyard". Older I get the more I think he was right.

My wife and I took my pickup to OKC today on a parts run. Saw a big truck using the hazards on every little hill. Speed limit is 70, hills were bringing him down to maybe 65, not bad, yet it seemed any time he was climbing, those hazards were on.

I don’t get it either man.

I don’t do that but I kinda understand the way no one pays attention anymore. They will run tight into the back of you with the Cruze on and playing on there phone.

I get all panicky when traffic comes to a stop unexpectedly. Not because I can’t stop but, I’m so worried some ya ho is going to plow right into the back of me at full speed.

I always slow early and get the hazards on. Maybe even hit the beacon depending on the circumstances?

He/She was probably doing that because the safety man said that when they drop speed on a hill they need to run their 4-ways. I remember many years ago some safety smart person at Wiener was having the drivers put their left turn signal on when they were parked alongside a ramp, roadway through rest area etc. Said it was to "encourage" other vehicles to move away from them. Now personally I never heard this from the man but did hear it from one of their drivers when someone asked him why he was parked with the left turn signal flashing. Might have been true or might not...........
