I always tell my buddies to move on I’ll catch up if you get tired of waiting on me. I like going to museums by myself too, when I’m with someone I feel rushed.

This week I had to read a section on hazmat and then take a test that required me to use the orange hazmat book. It was actually enjoyable having to think and engage in what I was doing instead of just mindlessly driving down the road.

Yep, I'm the same way. Unless someone is equally as interested in what I'm looking at I just go by myself. I know the feeling rushed thing

I’ve always been that way, I’m not a “loner” because I do enjoy being around good people. For example I’m not a sports fan really but I enjoy hanging with a group of guys picking at each other while watching a game or hanging out in the shop while we work on something. But I like being alone and reading, always have. When I was a kid I read every magazine that I could find. I like books but I find magazines fit me better. I have a hard time getting my mind to settle down enough to read many books.

In that movie clip, there’s a prime example of someone who is not a loner, but prefers to be alone in certain activity.

I sit in restaurants and bars to read people. I used to love football but it is a weak watered down fruity version of the sport I knew. So I have ZERO interests in team sports. I prefer pure sports.

As I read your post mental images flooded my mind. No truer words have been spoken.

Winter of 93 I had to layover close to Buffalo so the NYHD could clear the roads. Lot of snow that year. After I got headed out again, I ran into a Rig over the bank in the trees. Tracks in the snow indicated he just drifted off and right into the trees, and there was lots of conversation on the CB about, not because he / she was in the trees..... but why. We all were concerned, because at that time we never thought about texting or watching movies, or playing video games while driving. We knew it most likely was a medical situation, not a case of "what ignorant thing" was this guy doing while driving.

Those you spoke of that are standoffish, I see them all the time, and as usual they are herding some plastic truck for a Mega with high turnover, and a poor a$& safety rating.

I don't consider my truck a "Hotrod" but I feel it does a #### good job for Oldskool technology. Last night I once again got my doors dusted by a Volvo coming across 90. Section of 90 that's 65mph is apparently to slow for these trucks...?
Don't get me wrong, I step on my trucks tail quite a bit, but not in congested areas!
    Stay safe out there.
