For a dry van 3 loads to 1 truck is considered “balanced”.

Until you find out that some clown brokerage has posted like 50 duplicates of the same load.Scooter Jones and 86scotty Thank this.

I'm getting real sick of that. Seems to be rampant lately.

Ask the broker to send you a copy. Im pretty sure they are making chop suey out of the quoted rate before you see it. Then they still take the percentage on top of it.

Brokers know winter trucks are gonna get laid up in a storm somewhere . Then they pay me 4 mi to pull a load . Theyre banking funds for winter. Holidays are coming im in reefer business it will pick up for me till Feb. I made more money Nov till Feb than any time of the yr last yr. Hoping for same but if it doesnt happen im sitting on 2yrs worth of capital i get thru itBurghardt18 Thanks this.

Im sure brokers keep hoping you believe that. If shippers influenced the rates all of us would be out of business. There is no volumn.

Cheap freight depends on your operating cost. Some are 1mi others 1.50 operating cost . Some are 70% other 82% . You gotta know what your limits are to show a profitBurghardt18 Thanks this.
