Thanks for the input I’ll see what the customer has to say and if I have to I’ll run and pick up anything extra I may need. Hopefully in doing so they let me come back and load. I’d rather not half ### secure anything.

Best you can probably do till you see them, or get an accurate description.

If you had to use some of your larger coil racks, you can double up the lumber and use them for smaller coils.
If you've never been to butler before, watch your speed coming down CR61 from US6. There is a chance of seeing a cop. Magic will be the first plant on the left a few miles from US6.

That was another thought I had. Checked to see how much hardwood this trailer had, and I believe I’d be able to make it work. I’ll post a update tomorrow after I get loaded. Thanks

99 times out of 100, baby coils like what you are getting are typically eye to sky skidded. Probably set your stacks up 3 - 4 - 3.

Three chains over each stack (along with proper edge protection, of course), tarp it, and boogie!

Source: I load and unload in Butler, IN at LEAST once a week. Normally Heidtman, but I've been in and out of all those plants and the SDI mill numerous times.

Once you get around 5-6 coils on a "legal load" then you run into the issue of the coils bieng too small to fit into the coil rack. They will start touching the deck. Probably going to need an extra 4x4 to put in the rack to keep the coil off the deck.

I don't see galvanised bieng skidded (eye to the sky on a pallet) painted coils would be.

I think Menards gets their galvanized coils eye to the sky

They were loaded shotgun style. 3 in the middle two each side. Sorry for the late reply, been busy and haven’t got on in a while.
