It seems like the planners rely on that stupid program that sends us the message about a suggested trip plan,
No account for so many things... just get it there with no time to spare.
Everything down to the minute... then pick it up and drive 8 hours straight, take a 30 and drive until your hours are out - stopping right there in the road for your 10.

The programmers are some very stupid and ignorant people. So are the people that try to follow it.

 

Oh, try the Chicken Pot Pie sometime. Out of this world and totally great.
But, watch the heat. It is scalding hot when you get it.

My next load to El Paso was removed from me, and I will be going back to GA. I guess the planners didn't like my DM planning me a load.

By the time I called my DM it had been given to another driver.
Jerks.

I have a home time in MN on 11/02, so at least they won't be able to get around that.

 

At a small gas station in st Croix falls . Have a pickup in ladysmith wi going to Hammond in.
About 75 miles to go to shipper that had a 0900 live load tomorrow. Have only 5.45 hrs to work with tomorrow.
Load has to delivered by 0630 on the 26th.

 

El Paso is routinely a black hole for freight going anywhere east or north. Someone did you a favor. When you're a day from your final in Georgia, send a mac13 to Josh Stone, STOJOS, and ask for a load in whatever direction you want to go.

Its likely the El Paso load was put on another truck to get the driver to hometime. Planners generally don't care if a DM does their job for them. Also, it might have been removed by another DM for one of their pet drivers.

Portage wi at the petro. Picked this load up this morning and drove here with 5 minutes left on my 70. Only had 5.5 hrs to work with today and have 9 hrs tomorrow. Ocean said to deliver by 0630, but dm said it has an open Window for all day. So I will get up arou d 4 am and drive the 190 miles to hammon In
Then going to Gary terminal to see if they will replace keyboard on Qualcomm.
