Engine damage with high rpm

He probably took the bus home. Will be very lucky to have a job after such a screwup.

right? can you imagine the rpm it must have been spinning to do that? he's lucky not to have taken some shrapnel.

 

Well when everybody asks you how many times you were dropped as a child and says go flip burgers, not drive truck, not generally appreciated, no matter how right they are. Hopefully he's not driving a different truck, doubt you can retrain that out even.

 

I would start off with cam housing for cracks damaged boltsassuming it's dd13 or dd15 check bearings from the top of the engine is it making noise? What Are the codes? Not going to be cheap fix..
