No big deal. It's just that when the insults start things escalate fast.
This has been a great thread so far...lots of disagreement but everybody is keeping things civil.

Thanks for posting. Yeah, I don't do hazmat. Some of those loads are off my lane. Overall, those posted rates are so so, especially if 28%/35% comes off the top to LS.

What's funny is I just booked that Roseburg to Clackamas load for Monday as I will be in the area. I got it for $800. LS has it posted for $700 ;-)

    OnTheLevel357 Thanks this.

He said he wanted to stay in Wa/Or. So, yeah they're going to be short miles.

    OnTheLevel357 Thanks this.

Some loads are reposted from other load boards. And sometimes it's the customer playing one broker off against another.

Yeah, it's just a reality in this industry.

Thanks for proving my point scooter, then after the money off the top 37% off the contract. When freight rates go up the broker makes more money

    DSK333 Thanks this.

Just like I was saying. The only way it will work out anywhere in the entire country is via short miles or something "specialty" like HAZMAT or JIT. So the point has been proven as mentioned above. LS has nothing special compared to what a competent and aggressive OO can't do on their own. Lots of hype, marketing and groupspeak mentality.

There are many ways to be susessful in this business and I found that partnering with a company that can help with the paperwork and dispatch side and giving you support while you do what you love and do best works well. And after working with the mega fleets it works well but at a major hit on a good share of the profit so I found the same business model but with smaller companies works perfectly for what I want and I am so much more successful this way.
