This doesn't surprise me a bit. There is a school bus depot down the street from the yard and we see them driving way to aggressively. That bus should have been paying attention to traffic before pulling out into the intersection even though he had the green light. We were taught to look both ways as children when at a crosswalk at the same applies to driving. This could have been prevented. Thankfully there were no fatalities.

I heard about this on the radio... Apparently the speed limit for the road the semi was on is like 70 mph. I cant guarantee this info as it was from a comment that was read on the radio.

Uh no. You can see the light has changed to a red light. The driver didnt want to stop and drove directly into the school bus. There was no evasive action. The driver of the truck was running a red light with his brakes on at 0:26. He was then at a pucker factor.

I am about to report a bus driver today. She took a turn on to a State highway and instantly hit her yellows for the first driveway. Well 2 of us were rolling heavy right at her and needed her to hold those yellows on like ALL have done so far in my driving career (off and on since 1997) do.....she went right to red and expected a miracle from us!

I had no choice I rolled past her and she got all up in her windshield pointing at me and yelling.

I wanted to pull over on the spot and scream at her incredibly ignorant arse!

    Man, 2 things.
First, the light was WAY green when the school bus rolled.
Second, Texas has the shortest yellow lights that I've ever seen. You'll be in a 65 mph zone and the light turns yellow and you're screwed. Most municipalities let you pay them $100 with no points for running a red light......big money maker I'm sure. I've personally bought 2.
