I used to use Howes religiously. Now I use fppf on occasion as a precaution against water. Fuel up down south but always top off with treated before parking it up here in the frozen abyss

Only gelled once in -58 windchill Sheboygan Wi. after 5 hrs in dock put cardboard in front of radiator Detroit wouldn’t stay warm nearly froze. Next day woke up in Milwaukee almost out of fuel figured out crossover line( now a thing of the past) had gelled. 1 little bottle of fppf with a fill up on 1 tank fixed problem. That day I saw more broke down Trucks going down 41s at least 7 or 8 so it’s a real problem if untreated.I keep PS 911 in red jug and air line conditioner and about 4 bottles of alcohol for air lines/ drier. Has saved me more than once. Beats a service call$$$$

I thought he meant copper tubing inside tanks. Used to be common I’m sure a kit can still be found

Fppf is good stuff it's what i always used , it's just a little hard to split the bottle as it's a clear liquid. Lol.
Gotta put your finger at the half way point on the outside and try and see it from the inside. Lmao.

How often do you have to use that stuff? Every time you fill up? Or is it once every blank type of deal?

Same here also. If it starts it's good to go, if it doesn't shut the door and go back into the house and call it a (cold) day

The additive properties are consumed with the fuel, so each time you decide to deal with the concern.

I was at a national lease affiliate, and they had a supply of anti gel additive, a smaller supply of diesel 911, and a case of new snow shovels, this was in northern Iowa.

Power Service is the supplier of the anti gel and 911, I believe, I don't often add it, but I have reasons for that.
