InVer grove terminal
Tcalled the load here and went in to talk to the mechanic about my Qualcomm issues. He was the only mechanic on duty and he came right out and replaced the keyboard. Now it working fine.
Got a load off Mac 30..... picking up in Northfield Mn tomorrow morning and going to north platte ne on the 29th.
If I had some hours today ...it had a load from same shipper going to salt lake city.
Walked around the whole terminal looking for an mt trailer. Alot of red tagged trailers mixed in with loaded trailers. Found one trailer that I couldn't see any issues. Dm said it was in shop status. So I walked and asked him what was the issue since there was no tag.
He said it was refused by post for some reason. Said for me to check for holes and leaks. If nothing found he would release it.
Didn't find nothing but alot of dirt. He said that could have been the issue since they require a clean foodgrade trailer.
Don't know why drivers don't sweep their trailer out. I carry a broom and sweep every trailer I get. -
As you pull in to Post there are 2 lanes for incoming trucks, with 2 sets of trash cans and brooms. They expect you to sweep your trailer out there if not already done so.
One of the few places that provide the room and equipment, because they won't accept a dirty trailer.
I have picked up empties there that were filthy.
Lazy drivers.
The load assignment says in the notes what is required, so there is no excuse for them.
Any driver that leaves a trailer so dirty that Post rejects it should get a service failure, in my opinion. They are one of the best shippers we deal with. -
If I get an empty out of a customers yard and it's dirty I can blame it on the loader/unloader. It's when drivers bring in a empty trailer that's dirty.
With my mt... all I can see is it's dirty
Maybe the post gate guy who checked in the trailer let it slip by. And when they went to load it the loader said it's not clean. Called swift to come pick it up. That's what the mechanic here thinks. -
They do not check the trailers.
They provide the tools to sweep it out only.
You pull up and sweep it out if needed. Then you go in to the window to check in and get your paper work. The empty is dropped in that lot on the right side and the loaded is right across the street.
You just drop, hook and go. Even taking the time to sweep the trailer it seldom takes longer than 30 minutes.
They are just so easy.
There is a place on the sign-in form that asks if the trailer is clean. It is a simply y/n in the box.
That is why I think drivers that drop a dirty trailer that gets rejected should be service failed.dptrucker Thanks this. -
Post in Jonesboro ar has you back next to a trash bin and they have a I system might that looks into your trailer. Guard comes out and checks it. Not sure what other post company does thisMoosetek13 Thanks this.

McCormick in DE ... Uses a similar system now ... It eyeballs the trailer at the gate.dptrucker Thanks this.

Shoemaker truck stop.
Got here with 9 mins left on 70.
About 215 miles from final. and can delivered. Between 0600 to 1400. -
There are a couple newer threads about home time, here and there.
My home time request is for the 11/02 in Burnsville, MN. My next load gets me just a few miles away to Eagan, MN on 10/30, so a few days early.
There was no mention of it being my home time load so they are probably going to give me short runs for a couple days.
But it gets me in the area well in advance of my requested date.dptrucker Thanks this. -
That worked out nicely.
Delivered this morning to Eagan, MN, then got a load to Indiana.
As soon as the load assignment came in another pplan did as well.
Morris, IL for a Costco load back to MN.
I will deliver at 0600 on the 2nd, my home time request date. I should be home by 0900, after dropping my empty at the terminal.
There was no mention of that being my home time load so they may figure on getting me to pick something up that morning. But that is not my plan.
I will be only 15 miles from the terminal, so I am planning on going straight there.
Otherwise I will count Friday as a day worked and take one day longer to come back from home time.dptrucker Thanks this.
