He gave you some good advice I don't think he was speaking out his ### companies with cameras on their drivers have them there to protect themselves and will use them cameras to fire you and yes they do watch when they're not supposed to... oh and he's alright they will lie to you that is their job to lie to you to get you to come work for them and you will find that to be the truth with 99.5% of recruiters

When I was with swift they literally said you could cover them up because they don’t use them anymore. So I did that and nobody ever got onto me for it. So there is proof that just because they are there doesnt meant they are being used and you can trust a company. Now not all companies tell the truth but not all of them lie.

I am also starting to look into Melton. I want to go with a good flatbed company. I was looking into TMC but I’m outside of their hiring area so I can’t go with them
-
I know the recruiters lie their butts off.. but when a 6 year driver with the company explained the cameras and how they are monitored I believe him more than the recruiter. I'm not saying they won't use the cameras to fire your butt, but it makes a big difference when cameras are able to be monitored in house like roehl and 3rd party like Melton. Go look at roehl posts and see how many guys have complained about their DM/FM ask them why they are sitting at a shipper/reciever etc vs how many Melton guys say it. If your doing the right thing cameras shouldn't be an issue either way. But from all the posts of drivers being watched not just because of hard breaking/turning etc from roehl guys would make me not wanna work for them.. that's the point I'm trying to make.

You shouldn’t have anything to worry about if you are doing your job right

TMC is governed at 62 I believe, that alone would drive me insane. Not sure if that bothers you but I'd see if Melton is governed. Good luck!
-
tmc I think is at 65 based off the ones I see

From what I have looked up Melton is like one big interview through orientation and you have to graduate orientation. I like the long haul aspect of Melton. The driver said most of the loads range between 1000 and 2500 miles

Go on Craigslist and see if there are any milk haulers in your area hiring.
Call and tell them you want to drive. Maybe one will work with you
Flatbed tarping sucks.
Roehl is not everything they claim to be. -
