Most of the people coming here mentioned in the article are not illegal, they are asylum seekers.

I would either become a drug lord in my home country or sneak into the USA, get a fake ID and go drive for a mega.

Ok. I'll bite. No one answers because it doesn't matter. Almost anyone on the planet can claim that they need to come here because their country is too violent, too poor,blah,blah,blah. USA,like Every other country has an immigration policy. If they don't respect it,what else do they not respect. Illegals do serious crimes all the time. They're not all wonderful people. You' re " What would you do? " question is nothing more than a word game trap that is intended to " guilt " people into silence. It does not excuse thier violations of our laws. They have no right to come here. They can go through the legal process or stay where they are. And I don't limit this to people from South/Central America, but to people of all nation's.

A significant % off them did NOT respect the law when they immigrated to the USA.

Spousal abuse and gang violence are not acceptable reasons for legal asylum. Political unrest (dictator wholesale slaughtering people) and extreme natural disasters are. That's not the case for the majority of the illegals.
