ICE won't help illegals

They still have a right to apply and be heard. There are UN treaties governing the process.

No it is not. ICE actively seeks out folks who have overstayed. The problem is volume.

None of that changes one simple fact. There is a legal and an illegal way to enter this country.

Straw man arguments about what I would do, what corporations do, what politicians do does not change that fact.

Entering illegally is a criminal act. There is a legal process to seek asylum, and it does not take 10 years.

I have helped legal immigrants get their relatives visas and even citizenship. The average time took less than two years.

As I said this is about the laws governing our country, the security of our border, and the respect of the process legal immigrants followed.

All the rest is talking point bullshippie.

 

I’m from an immigrant family. My grandmother came here legally. They can do the same. All we want is them to follow the law like everyone else does. Why should they be excused?

We are not subject to UN rules.

 

Those treaties also encompass rules about how and where to apply for legitimate asylum. Storming the border in the dark of night is not on that list.

 

We have allowed far to many to flagrantly violate the law.
