That's possible, but I won't say one way or the other because I don't know. I've yet to meet an illegal that got services.

I'm not espousing hate by any means. Frankly, I don't believe that most people who support the wall are doing so out of a place of hate. There's a Pakistani couple in our game night group who are against illegal immigration and support the wall - because they went through the years of visas and applications and he came first, but had to wait two years for his wife to be approved in the 90s. No hate there.
I'll tell you, I fought against the idea of a wall until 5 years ago. It will destroy our riverside land and views and negatively impact the wildlife and the community spirit on both sides of the river. Our family ranch is at the end of the last paved highway between Big Bend National Park and El Paso. We are the last true wilderness in Texas and the two villages on the Mexico side are the closest people to us for 10 miles in one direction and 300 miles to West. Losing access via the river will destroy generations of help, cooperation and celebrations on both sides.
However, the impact of both the coyotes smuggling illegals and the drug cartels doing their thing has already ruined it. They are attempting to cross and hike through the Chianti mountains to Marfa and Fort Stockton and Fort Davis - where I10 runs. I no longer live on my family ranch full time because I'm not safe there as a woman whose husband is on the road a lot. That's just not OK.sdaniel, JonJon78, hagarcobra and 1 other person Thank this. -

Ok so?

Just for perspective, this is a photo of two of my dogs playing in our section of the Rio Grande. Mexico is the rocks in the background. This is what a wall will destroy. Make no mistake, the very idea breaks my heart. Literally moves me to tears. It's an almost impossible price to pay from a 7th Generation Texan's point of view.

How many Irish people emigrated between 1840 and 1923 (Irish independence)? How many entered the US illegally since 1924 (first federal imigration laws)?
How many refugees did the Rhodesian Bush War create? -
I really do sympathize. If illegals were traipsing through my backyard and leaving garbage and stealing my stuff I would be very angry but do you really think a wall is going to stop them? It wouldn’t stop me if I were one of them. We need to publicly prosecute American employers who hire them and hand out some sentences with real prison time and hefty fines. We also need to legalize street drugs and take the revenue source from the cartels. A wall will be very expensive and only deter a small minority of migrants.gentleroger and bryan21384 Thank this.

How will this stop the people who are convinced this is the promised Land. Some members point out on a regular basis, they have no other choice than to come here. The wall will not deter them. As the drug smugglers show us,they will tunnel under them just like rats.So a physical barrier doesn't work. And after these "poor" people have spent all thier money getting here and have no way to get back to where they came from, what to do??How to stop them from the start?

Show one place anywhere I have posted, complained, whined about any law or reg.
Just one.
Man you folks just can not grasp the concept of what is at stake. You bring up irrelevant concepts of my activity. You call names. You insinuate hatred and bigotry.
What all of your posts fail to do is dispute the simple fact that we have a law and it should be followed.7-UP, hagarcobra and JonJon78 Thank this.
