    A very true statement.

Hell, where I'm at, it's looking like the kid that hired on not too long ago has be come an endangered species. He just doesn't have the work ethic and thinks it's okay to call in sick every time he doesn't want to get out of bed in the morning. He's potentially going to lose a job where he could get a CDL at no cost to him (and no contract....).

You pay the empty miles to the pickup and my company will run it for you.

Oh, but that might be considered cabotage. Dang.

    Too bad. Sounds like he’d make a perfect no-pre-trip, no-radio, call-road-service-to-fix-a-marker-light “driver.”

I’m sure it’s a hostile work environment. No wonder there’s a driver shortage.

Good friend of mine goes through drivers like knife through butter. He is cheap on what he pays in wages. He was kidding around with me one day and said I should go to work for him......i didn't say anything for a minute then put my drink down and looked straight at him and said you couldn't afford my services! His wife spoke up and said he'll yeah he could in the long run it would be cheaper than what he pays in eff ups with the driver's he has now !!!

Trust me, I won't be heartbroken if he disappears. I honestly do not think he has what it takes to drive a truck. Gave him his first (although short) driving lesson last week and I was not impressed.

Just think it's sad that there's so many people out there willing to piss away a good opportunity because "working is hard!"
