I currently have some decent ones from TMI in Kentucky. I was thinking I could pad them. Who has made their own? Tell me about what you covered them with etc etc?

They're 2' stakes.

If only 2 feet high I would (and have done) use a double layer of carpet bolted at the sidesLast edited: Oct 31, 2018
Sirscrapntruckalot and DSK333 Thank this. -
I would think a thin layer of Mylar would work nice and last longer?
DSK333 Thanks this. -
I ended up trimming some conveyer belt that I use for coil bunks.Sirscrapntruckalot, Lepton1, beastr123 and 1 other person Thank this.

Unless you’re hauling coated pipe I never understood the reason for padding. Anything for Shell is supposed to be padded even drill pipe. Makes no sense to me.
Tug Toy Thanks this. -

Go to a good hose shop. I bought fire hose for my pipe pins and a really durable black rubberized hose for my pipe stakes. The padding stays in place with these hoses and looks professional (far better than duct taped rug!). I started out with that accordianed drainage pipe, but it constantly would ride up and off the pin as the forklift backed out of the pins and the pipes roll.
DSK333 Thanks this.
