Use a Ziploc bag for mixing batter, marinade, potato salad, tuna fish salad, strawberry shortcake topping, etc. Toss when done. No cross contamination worries. I carry them for repacking meat so I can fit more in the fridge, too.

I have an instant pot on the truck so I can saute, pressure cooker, etc all in one appliance. Cooks frozen foods in no time at all.

This is by far my favorite appliance, and super easy to sterilize and clean up afterwards. Although I did try to make yogurt once while driving, and it made quite a mess.

On my home time, I make a large pot of home made soups: beef vegetable or chicken noodle and up the nutrition content by keeping the salt down and adding lots of beans, cabbage and vegetables. You will rip ### the whole time you’re driving but If you’re like me you enjoy the experience of hot cabbage bean farts filling your breathing space. What I do is pour them into glass pickle jars which you can pick up a dozen for under 9$ at Walmart and park them in the freezer overnight. They then go in my yeti cooler with ice and will keep for the duration of my OTR time provided I keep icing my yeti. I have a small portable stove by road pro that plugs into the 12v lighter socket. After about 15 minutes it will boil any soup. You will need aluminum foil liners and this also makes cleaning effortless. Lunch meats and breads are easy to store and prepare they can take the hunger pangs off in a pinch. Skinned fruits like oranges keep for a long time also bagged apples have kept well in my experience. I have an apu which powers an electric kettle so I can make daily hot tea or French press some coffee in the morning. Stay creative and take in as many fruits and vegetables as possible. Treat your body good it’s putting up with a lot being a truck driver... don’t patronize those price gougers at the truck stop with your hard earned cash all they serve is food flavored salt anyway...
