I was thinking that after I thought about it. Never saw it empty before so it looked different if it is Trenton

Ya thats definitely Trenton. Looks like they are FINALLY going to do something bout that fn drop lot at the shop. That area is an abomination right now. Pot holes, big ### rocks filled into pot holes....Just to drop a trailer there or pick up a trailer there you have to lock your differentials in.

After a long and painful dialogue with my father, I have a recommendation for all of you looking beyond a company job. I need to make sure y'all understand that I have nothing against a permanent company position. You're still in my tribe, and I'm always here for you. However.... If you're looking to grow, keep your personal company and advice under close scrutiny. Don't trust anyone, no matter how close they are to you. Chances are really good that the advice you get is based on personal bias and individual experience that is very likely not relatable to your journey. That includes anything that I say, or advice that I give. I'm still a noob. You can trust @CaptainDaveG or @JOHNQPUBLIC guaranteed. They are good people. I lost a lot of faith and trust today, can't trust my dad for any advice on anything related to trucking. He's been doing this for 8 years longer than me, and my knowledge dwarfs his because he runs like an idiot. Time on the road does not equal knowledge. I may be new, but I blow him out of the water on a weekly basis. It's a guarantee that other drivers here do the same to me. Time does not equate to knowledge. Common sense and practicality does. I will help and welcome you down this path if you ask. Just know that my time and experience are very blunt tools. Use them as seasoning on a finished dish.

    OnTheLevel357 and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.

Could be loads they don’t have the capacity to cover. I know we broker out some loads if we don’t have enough available trucks in the market.

Speaking of brokered loads, I am under my second load in a little over a week that we got from a broker. I'm not sure if that's an indicator of anything or not, but until last week I hadn't seen a broker load since not long after going solo.

Just all depends on the area you are in. Some see more broker loads than others

I'm OTR so I'm everywhere. Broker load last week was from Butler, PA. Broker load today was from Clayton, OH which is just west of Dayton.
