Hi.. good to hear your getting your runs with maverick.. Im with Arrow trucking .. been with them fer about 6months and so far so good .. after reading the posts here about maverick and then doing some researching myself .. net and talking with thier recruiter ... I think Ill stay put for now. Im only getting 36cents a mile here .. compared to the 38cents maverick says theyll start me out at .. then I think they said 39cents after 6months.. but the thing that was a turn off was .. only freightliners .. sigh .. and Im in an '06 KW T600 now.. thats one plus I like already .. and then the other is .. $20 tarp pay fer lumber and $10 fer steel is what maverick offers.. even though tarp pay sucks as it is already .. I get $20 period with Arrow.

So although Maverick would probably be a better company overall .. I think it would be smarter for me to stay with Arrow.. since I already developed a good standing repor with them.

Please keep posting your reports on how you are doing overall .. and how good the $$ is hehe Im still looking over the options

well another week down with Maverick and my best weeek so far. I am getting quicker at the securement and tarping of my loads. I ran a little over three thousand miles this week at .35 cents per mile. I ran from texas to kentucky back to texas I worked hard but made good money. I left out on Sunday night and got back in on friday. I saw alot of country....I ran with a Maverick IC driver tuesday night and was impressed by the amount of money those guys make. Its no wonder that there is a waiting list to become an IC driver at Maverick......wonderman any questions just shout.....

yes sir it is just after i completed orientation the next class had 2 individuals that were from the laurinburg,nc terminal i really believe that the problems with the specialized div. stems from schneider's end not maverick

Well.. got call last night and fly to Lil Rock this morning!! Was prepared to wait it out another week and consider other offers in the meantime but now couldn't be happier! I elected to go with the longhaul division as they had more trainers available there than regional and could get me in sooner. Having been isolated so long to one state while living way up north I'm excited to see as much of this country as possible which helped make longhaul an easy choice.

Good luck all! Thanks again for all the info shared here!!
