Day 3 (or 1.75 if counting by 24 hour days) of becoming a full time Texas resident.

I didn't get started till after 3:00pm on Thursday, had to deliver at 10:00 am then run to Red Oak, park the truck, grab my car and run to DFW to pick up a friend who flew in to help me shop for furniture at IKEA. Got my pickup unloaded and the bed set up so there would be someplace to sleep later. That's the ONLY piece of furniture I owned at that point. So about 5:00pm we take off to IKEA in Grand Prairie and set about furnishing my place. 4 hours later and a few grand lighter I'm proud to announce you can fit an ENTIRE house of IKEA furniture (minus a bed but there was still room) into the bed of a full size pickup.

Yesterday was spent unloading everything from said pickup into said dwelling and assembling furniture. I assembled furniture till 10:00pm last night with only 1 quick break for lunch and 1 more to cook dinner. And with that I'm still not done, have the rest of the TV center for the living room to build, 1 night stand, 2 dressers and 3 barstools. Now all of this furniture fit in the back of my pickup however it's going to take a 40 yard roll-off to get rid of the packaging it all came it!

Got my marching orders for next week, doing a 16' wide X 60' long round trip from Tulsa to Weatherford and back which even though it's only 700 miles it'll take most of the week. The best part of that load, it has to be tarped both ways so - load, tarp on, tarp off, unload, reload, tarp on, tarp off, unload. The driving will be the "rest" period LOL

You’ve done it correctly if you have a few spare parts left over but everything still works as it should.
