Advice,

its amazing how all these new drivers get screwed working for these mega turds. ha, ha,ha. then have to pay $7k back, and then they stick you in a truck sitting and not getting paid, over and over again. Welcome to the new wave of trucking, ha, ha, ha

 

Its been that way for the last 20 years.

 

its kinda like, forest gump, ( what, are you stupid?) when they get hired. sit around and don't get paid, $400.00 week and living in a truck. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. McDonalds pays $15.00hr, and home everyday, free food. Add up all the hours in a truck, is like $3.00 hr or less, ha, ha, ha

 

im just glad my career in trucking is over, I did great, and now I watch the industry fall apart, and the stupid people that sign these contracts with the mega trucking comp. , well, wish them the best of luck. after about a month living in truck, and not making any money, and everyone at home having a great time, they'll get tired of it, and then say "There`s no place like home, there`s no place like home" ha, ha,ha.

 

Hopefully the op did the right thing and drug his nutbag over every square inch of the truck interior.

Even cre would pay for a hotel so the story doesn't add up anyway.

 

I'm glad my "active" career is over. However I would take nothing for my experience and the things I have seen. Unfortunately all my plans are over too now. I can't even drive a George Jones special on the roads now. I also did OK too. I too am watching the industry "change" in most cases for the worse.

 

Since I didn't have any income Goodwill sent me to CDL school and I'm with a mega with no obligation to them.

They sat me a couple of times however my performance has been good and I don't take hometime and they seem to have figured out that if they keep giving me loads everything is good.

If they have me sitting consistently I'll quit and go somewhere else. If it happens on occasion I can deal with it. Generally I've been getting pre-assignments before I deliver.

I'm making okay money for a new driver in my opinion.

well good for you, I like your attitude towards them. Maybe in the future, these mege turds will finally understand , hey, these guys need to work, not sit. either way be compensated for time in a truck.
