After running my 7ft firestick on my t680 I've decided to look further into another antenna (besides the whip 108in). I've started to look at the predator antennas, which one do you guys recommend? I kinda like the competition one the best since I talk on ssb.
Best cb antenna

Since you been running a 7' antenna anyway...go with the single coIL Predator 10K with the 17" lower shaft...

You guys use antennas? With a big enough linear who needs one?

Hook up 9’ of 3/16” aircraft cable and solder to coax center connector. A 2” corona ball at the end.
Hang around mirror, let it droop when parked.
With an airspeed release set at 45-mph, have it deploy to 36’. Horizontal polarization with groundwave propagation.
We heard you been bragging about chats with Ohio-class submarines.Another Canadian driver, fss99701, Crude Truckin' and 2 others Thank this. -
How strong is the T680 arm mount? Was looking at the Top Gun Tec Mount extension the other day. That, and their stainless stud might be worth a look.
Check some of the Rabbis posts.Another Canadian driver, rabbiporkchop and Sgonza101 Thank this. -
I recommend an 81 inch antenna.
Easy to build one.

By all means, anyone named rabbiporkchop has to be a reliable source of antenna info.

Personally i wouldnt bother with a base or mid load ant..The 10k is a mid load cause you will not likely get the same performance as you will as a top load..Did some testing myself and compared to my 7ft ss i lost a few db..
With antenna flex on the ss and whip flex on the 10k you loose anout 3-5 db...This may sound like im a know it all and pushin my youtube channel but go see for yourself..I just post to let others see what i do..Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I was told to run a Francis, and that they are really good antennas for the price, I just wasn’t sure on what size to run, I was looking at either 4ft or 4 1/2 foot, any advice? Been drivin for awhile but kinda new with cb stuff
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Top load type.
All the way “tall” to 13’5”.
Some of us run 7’ Skipshooters to get it up there.Another Canadian driver, MNTSIDE and rabbiporkchop Thank this.
