hi everyone. I posted this question before about the noise from my mufflers, just wondering if anything new has come out. I just added an app to my phone which measures decibels to check out the noise level of my truck. I already know it’s too loud. Has anything come out on the market to quiet this old girl of mine down. I currently have a stock 5” system

Have you thought about possibly blocking off the one on the driver side next to your ear and just running with one stack. or going with an under truck system,

I try not to use the jake at all, but have some long down grades at times. But as far as blocking off one side, I didn’t think of it. I’m probably ready for a new system, and was hoping to find something that was very quiet without restricting the flow. Has anyone used the qp inserts for dynamax or lincoln

    Hush mat or dynamat?

My floor doesn't have anything on it right now so all the noise comes in. It's down on my list but I'll be covering it and the cab with sound deadening material.

Have noticed stacks still in place for the style effect. But underneath is where the exhaust comes out. (Used to call it "weed burner exhaust".) Also on some trucks leaving stock like exhaust on you still have your grab handles in place. Don't want you to take a tumble at your age! Lol.

Yes, on ear plugs, or even cotton. Cat seems to be a noisy engine, even not including exhaust.

When I did concrete, the first thing I did when I got out of the car was put my ear plugs in. And I've no doubt whatsoever that it saved my hearing from permanent loss. They sell those rubberized ones at home centers in bulk for pennies.

I would love to put 7” stacks on with the qp insert, but that will probably run me almost $5k. Has anyone used the waller mufflers. They claim to be quiet
