So I’m from the west coast up in North Idaho where all the fun mountains are and was curious to since I’ll be driving on the east coast, are there many mountains over here? I’m driving through Minnesota rn down to Tennessee and it’s seems pretty flat, there are hills but nothing not seeing anything like the west coast. I believe the Appalachian mountains around here some where..
I’m Curious to Know..

we got a few hills here.
Sandstone(??) Mt in west virginia on I-64 comes to mind. -
Depends how far east and south east you go.
Get out a map.
PA, WV, NC, TN, even parts of SC and GA definitely have mountains.
What makes them dangerous is the piss-poor job they do in marking their grade %, where the turns are and suggested speeds and then the next approach to a grade.
East coast roads in general suck because they were designed years ago before trucks got so long.
I hate them
Many have little or no shoulder to pull off on in an emergency.
Good luck to you.DevJohnson Thanks this. -
Idaho is on the west coast now? Was there an earthquake I didn't hear about and everything west of Sand Point fell off into the Pacific?
Woodys, Rugerfan, magoo68 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I heard that there's a 25% grade in Vermont, but no one knows where it is, and only one guy has been on it.
