I'm sorry but I just don't see myself working for any company that even thinks about putting a camera INSIDE the truck at all. If you can't trust your driver that much even with a camera on the OUTSIDE then that's really saying something.

Good afternoon. My name is Sergey, I am the Director of Marketing at GP Transco. I apologize for any misunderstanding - out of nearly 400 trucks, only about 2% (around 11 trucks total) have active driver-facing cameras. These were installed after notifying the 11 drivers, all after repeated safety violations. This is done for the safety of the drivers and as a last-resort effort to increase safety. Driver-facing cameras are extremely rare at GP Transco, but all trucks DO have road-facing cameras, footage from which is only reviewed after a registered harsh event; this is standard in the trucking industry.

I hope this helps resolve any misunderstanding. Please contact our safety department if you have further questions.

Thank you and have a great day.

Oh if they've been warned more than a few times, that's a little bit of a different story.

I thought this was a company who just flat out made EVERYBODY install cameras inside the truck right out of the gate.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

Absolutely - thank you for being understanding. I spoke with our recruiting manager and made sure that when this question comes up when speaking with a driver interested in driving with us, he is clear on exactly how the driver-facing camera process works and lets the driver know that only 2% of our drivers have active driver-facing cameras. Sorry about the confusion.

Will company allow lease drivers to use DAT to search for, negotiate rate, book, and sign rate cons Instead of using company dispatcher?

I am interested in company and will probably call soon to ask questions. The cameras are no bother to me. I’m more interested in what the common lanes driven are, actual settlements and Home time

No I am not. I found a company down here in Texas that has met all of my needs.

It depends, if you live in the greater Chicago area, yes. If you live outside of that area and don't care when you see the house, yes again. But much more then that, I would think very carefully before coming on.
