So I'm going to buy my 1st truck which I would love to be a freightliner classic between 2000 in 2005 Pre emissions With a Detroit 60 series engine

My question is what should be my Max$$ limit for a used truck like this being a first time owner operator. Buying cash not counting extra money on the side for truck emergencies and making the truck road ready.
Q: Max purchase price for a truck like this?
Q: How much is too much?

    2004 & 05 are emissions (EGR only).
See then trucks anywhere from $20-$40,000 depending on how nice it is. Anything above that I would want a warrant and a fresh inframe.
Anything under that, you’ll want a good slush fund for repairs.

And what do you mean a warrant?

I think he meant warranty. Some kind of aftermarket extended warranty from NTP or another company like that.

    JR28262 Thanks this.

Wow, let's start with how much are you willing to pay for it to be properly checked out?

    $1100?

    $1500?

The actual price you are to pay is what your budget allows. Trucks like this are not cheap because of the market being inflated but you can find them under $30k easily ...

    SavageMuffin and JR28262 Thank this.
