Thanks have a good night! Yeah me to, the officer acted like I would be suprised as in they would have to log it but I see now I was right. :yes2557:

It shouldn't be fair if they are learning to fight our country or practicing. that would be just WRONG:biggrin_2551:

Capnhector, I'm staring at Schneider in a few weeks and am also in the National Guard. I was wondering how I would handle logging the time at home for drill. Thanks for opening this thread for clarification. Also, Schneider's website says that they are very pro-military. Specificaly the reserve components. I'm kinda curious how monthly drills and AT are going to affect my miles and home time. Have you heard anything about this? The website says that they pay differential pay if you are mobilized. Have you heard anything about this? How about paying differential pay when you are drilling or at AT?

where did you get that information? Because pay does not always have anything to do with logging?
I am not doubting you just wondering.

I thought I saw something in there that said if you recieve compensation from another source while you're off duty from trucking, it should be logged as on duty because it goes against your 60/70. I'm not familiar with the military and I can understand why they might be exempt.

Question 10: How does compensation relate to on-duty time?

Guidance: The fact that a driver is paid for a period of time does not always establish that the driver was on-duty for the purposes of part 395 during that period of time. A driver may be relieved of duty under certain conditions and still be paid.

I know what you read and it is true if you work for another company and are a driver, however I guess military is special.

I copied and pasted the words from the book above, so I read it as they can log it off duty, and I would assume because they are helping our country. Check out firefighter regulations, that one is scary as well. :biggrin_25524:

I haven't had a chance to look at that awsome reading material . Or should I say, it's not quite on my priority list. I'll skip through it one of these days just out of curiousity. God Bless the United States Military !
