Depends on where you're at. If you apply at the big hubs, I know guys that converted in six months. Of course, these are hubs like Chicago, Louisville, Indy, Jacksonville etc.

Currently work foodservice and enjoy it but would eventually like to get into just driving linehaul. I see a seasonal driver position avail here in Vegas and was thinking about throwing my hat in.
Have a doubles/trips endorsement but have never ran them. Pops ran doubles for a long time and said it is a little weird to get used to the wiggle of the rear but you get used to it. Are the sets already linked up when you get there or are you linking them up before you go?LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -

Ill have to see what it is. Most of the stuff i read im guessing pertains to freight and their contract.

The old full-time starting rate was $18.75 per hour and 40 cpm. Now it's $21 and 59 cpm. You just have to wait on the new contract to go through. Which is a whole debacle in and of itself, but let's not get into that.
Seasonal pay is at the local terminal's discretion, so that can vary from area to area.Midwesttrucker and SidewaysBentHalo Thank this. -
