It was windy with light snow for most of the day in North Dakota, today. And as usually happens, after dark, the wheel tracks on 94 become sheets of ice in spots. Cars and trucks were exploring the median and ditches with great abandon!

When you see two dark stripes on a dry, white highway (that's ice,) please move your happy ### to the other lane so you don't become another statistic!

    That is all...

There's better traction if you drive in the ditch, you know

Crunchy snow = traction. Packed tire tracks = not much traction

Let me fix your thread for you.

    Some winter advise

If you don't know what the hell you're doing go run I-10 and I-20 from mid November to mid March and let those who do get some work done.

No, it's more like you think you know more and can tell someone what to do.
You want get to many people to "learn" from you like that.

But, he is right though. I spent two years otr in the midwest and northeast in 2 of the harshest winters this country had seen in a while and I can tell you he is right.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I would rather have the idiots stuck in the median than out on the road.
