Good freind is thinking about a new Pete, interesting to see what he ends up with. I'm sure it will be a looker.1951 ford, johndeere4020, Feedman and 17 others Thank this.

The non truck route is smooth as a baby’s butt. That’s why they don’t want trucks on it. Lol.1951 ford, johndeere4020, jamespmack and 17 others Thank this.

That is a good lookin rig and I’ve heard good stuff about the X15. Just wondering if they’ll still be talking good about em in a few more years when they’re old enough to have some miles on them.
If I had to have a brand new truck that’s probably the motor I’d go with.1951 ford, johndeere4020, jamespmack and 15 others Thank this. -
Wish I could trust Cummins...
I don’t after my ISX ordeal. I’ll let you be the test piggy
1951 ford, johndeere4020, jamespmack and 14 others Thank this. -
Shoot that’s what I’m lettin everyone else do.
I don’t want or need a new truck. Jus sayin. Lol.1951 ford, johndeere4020, jamespmack and 15 others Thank this. -
That's exactly how it is on the Truck bypass around Kenedy Texas. The car route is straight and flat through town. The Truck Route sucks.1951 ford, johndeere4020, Zeviander and 16 others Thank this.

I’m really curious what the CEL is trying to tell me now. OH. That’s right. It’s an ISX. There’s the problem.

I swear if it’s DPF we will have to accidentally burn the whole truck down somehow...
If gliders were outta the question somehow and I was buying a new Pete and didn’t have the ability to delete it for whatever reason (basically talking worst case scenario here), Id be taking a good long hard look at the Paccar motor before ponying up the extra cash for the Cummins. Just my useless two cents anyway.1951 ford, johndeere4020, Zeviander and 13 others Thank this. -
Normally don't bellyache too much about work.
But..
New kid went to go get his CDL permit the other day. Previously, I had said numerous times that he needed to take the General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles tests all at once. Just get them out of the way and only have to go to the DMV once before it's time to take his Class-A drive test.
All of the cosmic brained, rocket genius leaders of men at the shop ignored me.
Kid goes to get his permit and only takes the General test. "Sorry, we won't issue a permit until you also complete air brakes and combination" (new rule in OR?).
One of those I told you so moments, but hey.. I'm just the dumb truck driver.
End Bellyache.1951 ford, johndeere4020, Zeviander and 18 others Thank this. -
Lol, when I was much younger I worked with a Ford 880 "Louisville" with a T-650 Chicago Pneumatic rotary rig on it. Coal mine kept a D8 with us all the time, nothing like waiting for a cable to break and come through the windshield in your face! Naugatuck,WV I had a 650 Deere above me to keep me from turning over, and a 750 Deere pulling on me. Was in a 1981 S2500 with a TH55 IR drill rig then. 6v92T with a 13 spd.1951 ford, johndeere4020, Zeviander and 21 others Thank this.
