That twinkle is the look of sheer terror. I should have known you were lying when you described her as a dainty little flower. I don't care how many remodeling jobs she can throw your way, ( she looks like she could throw the whole house at you. ) I'm running to the West Coast or wherever else I gotta go to get away from her. That partnership deal you offered is unacceptable.

How come it always seems like when I get here there a line all the way around the horse shoe but when I get loaded and leave there’s only a few behind me?

Story time. Way back when, a buddy and I picked up a couple of gals. We was all drinkin beer in a shop I rented on south main. Sheriff pulls in across the street to fuel up his Blazer. Buddy says “leave the back door up....” and takes off on my little Suzuki RM 125 dirt bike.

Me and the girls watch out the front window as he comes around the shop just as the sheriff is pulling out. He stands that baby up in a perfect wheelie in the middle of Main Street, cowboy hat crooked, leather jacket flailing behind him, cigarette hangin out his mouth, and rides it right past the sheriff.

Lights and sirens commence, and they scream outta sight. You could hear that two-stroke beggin for mercy in the distance. After a while it stops. Found out later he took a concrete drainage ditch behind some oilfield businesses and ramped over the pipe rail fence into the backyard of a place he used to work. Wasn’t planning on the weeds bein waist high and layed it over in some pipe he couldn’t see. He was still tryin to kick start the sucker when the sheriff walked around the corner with the cuffs.

So we all got to take a trip to Sayre and bail him out of the county jail. Never did score with those gals....
