I ain't sayin' a #### word.

But I will say I hate days like that. -
Ya I wonder how many times they've replaced that pole right there. Ridiculous

Iron skillet is nasty no matter where they are.

Looks like I'm gonna get to use that new personal conveyance rule. Had a load scheduled for 1300, got here at 1330, load won't be finished til 1530, then I have to get loaded. Not a happy camper at the moment.

Is that the little mom/pop place north of the Rodney Pike Love's?
I've been meaning to stop in there and check it out. My trainer told me that there's good food there, but then again my trainer thinks Chester's is good fried chicken .
I get the impression that you're used to sports bar food. I am too. I lived on that stuff when I was still living in Acworth. There's lots of good sports bars in the Acworth/Kennesaw/Woodstock area. None of the truck stops I've been to even starts to compare to good sports bar wings or burgers.
However, I've found a couple of places that I really like. The Osseo (Wisconsin) Travel Plaza restaurant is pretty good. That little mom/pop place that no longer has diesel islands in Corinth, KY has good food.
Everywhere else I've been has been pretty underwhelming. But living and eating in and around Atlanta for so long has set the bar pretty high for me. -
In case anybody else needs to know: I'm not sure if it's ever manned, but it wasn't manned at 0530 today, so I just pulled up an axle at a time, wrote my weights down, circled back around to the parking area and did my math. Nothing was said to me.
Good thing I did it, too. According to their scale my drives were at 33,960 so I adjusted that a little bit just to be safe, and it turned out that I did have to go across the scale on I85.
That mill was particularly fragrant last night. I'm never gonna get the smell out of my truck. -
Yup, definitely ran out of hours at the shipper. Technically I had 10 or 12 minutes left, but I used personal conveyance anyhow in case this place was out of parking. Good thing I did, took me 22 minutes to get here and get parked. Weird setup on this lot. This not only a hazmat load, it's also a tanker load. Wish the broker had mentioned that. Good lord, does it feel weird. It's like I'm pulling a wave pool behind me. Tell you what, going through WV on 77 is gonna be REAL interesting. It's gonna be an interesting trip, for sure. I'm quite sure the contents of my apple sack will shrink to the size of ball bearings. Woohoo, new experience. Let's do this!

That sounds fun. Make sure you adjust the air in your seat so that you bounce up and down a little more than usual, for the total experience.
Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
I don't think I'd use the word "fun". I am gonna time my departure here so that the sun is shedding some light in the WV roads as I'm hitting them. Normally I don't care. I run the mountains so much now I could do it in my sleep. But not with this load. I wanna have full sight of those sexy curves before I hit them. If I don't, you'll be reading about me in the obits.
