Use the as a mat, don't actually put them on.

Ain’t it? Looks like something that @Ruthless would show up in.Feedman, Slowpoke KW, 1951 ford and 18 others Thank this.

I remember them but never really been around them. Freind had a Louisville Ford with a 6 cylinder Duetz. Good in the logging world radiator damage is a problem.

So another old CAT question. I'm slowly picking away at my old 92U 3406 Cat. I'm just getting it stripped down and cleaned up. I don't plan on pulling the crank, just rolling in new bearings. I have zero history on this engine so is there any way to tell if the main and rod bearings I pull out are standard or undersized? Not ordering anything for the engine until I get a good look at the block, crank and cam first.

Owner said they have owned it since new... 1988 model. On his way to get a new trailer with it. He is from Pennsylvania.

Yeah, but they sure feel good about themselves, the heck with common sense, that's so yesterday, lol.Feedman, Slowpoke KW, 1951 ford and 18 others Thank this.

Usually that info is on outside of bearings..... STD for standard and so on. .010 / .020.....
-
They will have STD .010or .020 stamped on the back side of the bearing. They used to put a date on them too but don't any moreLast edited: Nov 10, 2018
