Werner owns Roadmaster, so the school pushes Werner.
Most trucking companies will hire from Roadmaster though.

You're doing a good job to start your new career.
You'll have plenty of companies to choose from at graduation.
Now that you have a start date, you can now contact any companies you're interested in. Be sure to ask if any endorsements are required.

 

You'll get double-clutching pretty fast. You may not even need it in the real world since most companies are switching to automatics. Still need to learn it though to pass the school, but it's easy to learn.
I never used double-clutching after leaving cdl school and most of my career was driving stick shifts.

 

You're worrying over nothing. It's not a big deal. Takes a little getting used to but once you do you'll be fine.

Do you plan to move as soon as you graduate? If so, look for companies that hire in New Orleans and Las Vegas.
Lots of good tanker jobs in New Orleans area. If the wife plans to ride with you, there's decent reefer and dry van outfits for that.
