There are a few Europeans that are extremely knowledgeable about European trucks. One is an owner/operator, one is a salesman for Mercedes Benz I think, and one fellow is a wizard that works in some capacity (consultant maybe) with a bunch of different manufacturers. All of them point out differences between our trucks and theirs, and understand that they are different for a number of reasons; primarily related to European length and weight laws versus ours, and the big difference in speed limits.

Then there is this one guy who I haven't quite figured out what his involvement in trucking is, but he will google everything and then comment about how stupid us North Americans are. He pulls up data on things that I wasn't aware were available via the internet, and then lectures as if he invented the truck.

He gets under my skin, and despite trying to be civil I sometimes come close to loosing it.

I should do as Sar says and just stay away.

 

All I know is, I just watched Carrie Underwood dance on Sunday night football. All is good now. That’s my hall pass
