I'd say it's gotten worse

 

Why us truckers are supposed to hate the East Coast??

 

Been driving local now & my health has improved greatly. Stress is a killer & driving OTR is very stressful. The actual job & lifestyle I liked but the amount of personal time you waste due to the inefficiencies of the industry paired with the regulations just became not worth it to me anymore.
Now that I've been driving local for 9 mos I should of done it years ago. Knowing you will get paid for anything that happens in your workday good or bad has put the pep back in my step.

 

You don't have to hate the east coast. I don't hate it. I refused to cross the Mississippi River (in a truck) since November 1983.

 

I-5 isnt any better than I-95....
