Yes I am very aware... itell yourself that after bouncing 2300 miles a few times

It can be depressing from time to time

 

Lunch break parked in an over crowded rest area with a ####ty view.

 

Especially if you bounce clear to Georgia or somewhere and then the load cancels?

 

Yep, I don't even look at the o/o section anymore, same crap over and over.

@Ruthless should write a book, offer it for sale here, and it should be mandatory reading before any new "I just bought a truck..." posts.

 

Mercifully, the load didn’t cancel but 2300 to GA then 1800 back from Calgary. I made good money but I went through 2000 gallons of fuel to do it.

Now I have been sitting since Friday - being offered crappy freight at 5 axle rates - and will sit until Monday to load in IL. There is a chance they will load Friday but not likely. With the holiday travel bans I could be under this load to Cali for 2 weeks plus. I miss the sun and warmth of home.

 

It's definitely a different game that you're in......or maybe not so much but a drastically different scale.

 

Not only that but don’t you need permits just to deadhead?

 

Buying run down wreck with 7million miles on it, paying too much and have no mechanical aptitude or maintenance reserve. Please tell me where to get good rates, looking for at least $8 per mile. Also what is the preferred brand of safety sandal?
