I gotta confess, SJ knows already. Almost embarassed to say I’ve never flip-flopped on any decision in my life more than this Best Buy regional run.

F the challenge, the stress isn’t worth it at my age. QC’d my 1 week notice to Tom (regional dispatch over B.B.) yesterday. Tom and I had a gentleman’s agreement that I’d give him a week’s notice if it didn’t work out for me so he could find another BB runner. Got a QC back from him this morning, on my way back to deliver in metro Atlanta, “gimme a call when you get to your drop, I want to know your concerns”.
I told him the sum of my concerns are stress. Then I went into the individual concerns. He really sounded appreciative. I was impressed and not pressured at all.
So, we agreed that I’d run through next Wed and he’d end me up in Perry, Ga where I can spend Tgiving with my little sister. Then, back OTR I go.

I’d just as soon be running in snow than the last 2 fn weeks of rain I’ve been running through.

Relieved already man.

 

The Jets will gobble him up and give him a huge deal as well. Along with others. Hes still going to get paid, but giving up 14.5mil is beyond ignorant.

 

Oh no. It’s all no-touch. Don’t even have to swing doors. It’s Millis OTR truck + 53 foot trailer, all populated metro areas in shopping centers not built for long trucks. Navigating shopping center parking, dropped shipping containers and dumpsters in the delivery alley and construction. May God bless your soul if you go in backwards.
