Negative. I signed up, they had me bobtail 125 miles to get an empty, then wanted me to deadhead 170 miles back in the direction I had just come from, to pick up a 44k load paying $1.19/mile on 600 loaded miles. Oh, plus a $20 toll that I had to eat.
I drove home, parked the truck and told them that they had to get me something better. Here I sit, waiting.

Let's give the OP the benefit of the doubt. I'll move this to the O/O threads.
In the meantime I'm going to delete some of the less-than-helpful posts. If you can't post something that answers the OP's question just ignore it and move on.
If he's trolling we'll know soon enough and he'll be gone.x1Heavy, Slowpoke KW and stillwurkin Thank this. -
Why do you hate fun and tacos?Tug Toy Thanks this.

I love fun and tacos. I hate extra and unnecessary work. Train-wreck threads take up more room than they're worth.

I remember my Grandma saying it took her two years of constant pushing and prodding and was finally granted a very narrow authority back in the day. Crazy to think about now.
Edit: Beleive it or not I think I recall it being one of the rail road companies mostly standing in her way. Boy was she a spit fire.Metallica88 Thanks this. -
Correct. Many were outlaws because they couldn’t get an authority. If you did it was for only certain shippers or commodities.Badmon and Metallica88 Thank this.

Sounds like a great woman. Thanks for sharing that story.Badmon and Midwest Trucker Thank this.

Well thank you that means a lot. She passed away this past March at 92 yrs old. She broke a bunch of barriers in trucking by being the first female back in the 80’s. I won’t say more since it’s a public forum but again, I appreciate that comment.Badmon, Metallica88 and nikmirbre Thank this.

Well, I bought a truck to get a path towards being my own company, but that does not matter anyway. That's ancient history.

You could see if you could find some work through any of the local container companies near you.
DSK333 Thanks this.
