Both my Power Divider and Air dump switch. Leaks air if moved all the way on or off. But prop it 1/16" from on or off, and there's no leak To me figuring its the o-rings dried out. Anyone ever replaced the o-rings? Or just have to replace both with new air switches?
1995 Kenworth T600, so they have some age on them.

Assuming you’ve already checked the air lines on the back. The switches only cost a few dollars. I would just replace them. That’s what I did when one of mine started leaking.
stillwurkin Thanks this. -
Yes checked air lines on both first thing. Will look around for a pair of new ones. Cheapest ones I had found, was $40 per switch. And they were Old Stock.

I bought mine at MHC Kenworth last I was in there they had a box on the shelf out front full of them.
$80 dollars is a hell of a lot cheaper than being wrote up or put out of service by the DOT, or a new truck.MartinFromBC, stillwurkin and tnpete Thank this. -
I agree, but hate to replace. If they can be rebuilt. I know anymore we all throw away. And replace, most stuff no longer had rebuild kits. I'm one of the old farts. I keep Pan cake gaskets in the truck. Never had to replace a can. Unless its rusted out. So guess old school and still hate to toss and replace.

I know what you’re saying I’ve rebuilt many a part hell most of my 96 W9 has been rebuilt since I bought it. But anymore with the crap setup for a place to work I just replace the little stuff like this especially when it’s plastic like these are.
MartinFromBC and tnpete Thank this. -
Will buy one one switch. Then try to rebuild the old one. If I can save from buying both. If not bu the other and be happy.
2 new Switches, New Steer tires and there goes Christmas.
Thanks for the info.Slowpoke KW Thanks this. -
Let us know if the rebuilding works out. Good Luck.

Don't want to get off subject but..have you noticed the new maxie brake set up. You know in last few years the clamp is solid (no clamp bolts) on the spring side? To keep folks from killing themselves by not caging the spring. My friend has a new KW. He had the application pancake leaking, he was all set to take clamp off to replace it. Guess what, solid clamp on that end now too. Now i suppose they think you should replace the whole maxi. More expense and work.Slowpoke KW Thanks this.
