Stevens Transport

Bill is still there, what a joke of a guy. They also now make you go thru the terminal once every 90 days for classes, and you cant leave the yard till you have all the needed signatures on that paper driver services gives ya, have not seen that posted on here yet, thought I would say something. They also treat exp drivers like first time student, good equipment to a point, but my buddy is still there, did the school, then went to them, been almost a yr now, still not making money anywhere near what he should be. never turns down a load, never late, but when he needs to get home, well, lets just say, I hope you got money to fly from dallas and back after you fight to get home time,and he stays out 4 mths at a time, then they give him a diffrent trk when he comes back from hometime.

 

One of my best friends says you get to pick who you want to train week, so like everyone says, mingle with fellow drivers during orientation and see which one suits you best. And unless things changed, while in the 'dumb and dumber' session, the trucks are supposed to stop driving at 12am or so.

Perhaps you should talk to your Stevens recruiter and ask them that. Or better yet, ask another driver that trained with them and maybe they can fill you in on how this works.

 

no more dumb and dumber... they don't send 2 students out anymore they send you out with a finishing trainer now

 

Aquafina I heard that too. A buddy of mine is still there, and had said they did away with it and went to a finishing trainer. He did not have details on how they run that but it seems like a better idea than the old way when I went thruogh it.

 

Is this true did they do away with dumb and dumber. I might be on my way there by the end of the week

No more hireing freeze. There are new students on the yard every week again.

 

im currently training in houston for them right now.

 

The only hiring freeze I heard of was for drivers with experiance, they were still taking "new" drivers.

 

hey redneckolson do they still do dumb and dumber looks as if your in the best place to let me know? where are you training at? I was told I would be going to the dallas area.
