Hopefully it's just the alternator, less than $100 for a 1 mile tow. Lost all power coasted to the shoulder.

.....scratch that. Off to Laredo right now.

Unload and reload before 5pm for OKC.

  8. I will have to float ya some money to photo copy some pages. I'm working on a 68 c-10 for the wife to drive. Since her broken hip she is having issues getting in the modern cars. So a nice bench seat and she's golden.

If I can help source any "non-rust" parts shoot me a pm of any info on the truck. We have a swap meet twice a year here in Turlock, CA north of me. Excellent place to score parts.

My dad grew up in Turlock, the family farm was on South Tegner. Sold the last 12 acres of it in 2005 after his mother passed away.

Right across the street from where McFadden Equipment is.

Symptoms before it went dead? And do you know the shop?
Reason I ask is alternator's usually give an indication that something is about to happen (pulley whining, flickering lights and gauges,, squealing etc). Sounds more electrical to me, like loose wire or blown fuse to ecm.
