oh geesh this makes me want to cry

It's good the choice is made by the patient . I'm sure many terminally patients feel guilty watching their families anguish over their condition as the hospital costs rise .
Roadmedic Thanks this. -
I wish to be no burden to my family and after having to put down many of my dear 4 legged creatures in order to ease their suffering, the thoughts have often been there.
Dying with dignity is an alternative for those that may have an interest.
There are others that will feel different, but it is their choice as well. I make no attempt to put my opinion or wishes to force them to do anything they may not want to do.Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
the only issue i have with this... different doctors will give the same patient different time lines for how long they have to live, or even different chances at being able to be cured..
would you be happy if they said your mom had 6 months to live so she decided on a 'dignity death' and after that took place you found out she could have been cured? -
After spending a day watching my mother gasping for breath because of the near suffocation caused by the cancer growing inside her belly, I am sure that it was very hard on her.
The xray the doctor in the ER showed me clearly showed what was wrong and the medical training I have allowed me to know exactly what would happen and that no cure would be possible.
It was extremely hard on the entire family and most painful for my mother.
Believe me, you will know when it should be used.
